More Epic encounters!

Just like dragons, this campaign seems to be a force of nature. There is no stopping it!

We are doing great and still adding more and more dragon lovers, we are at over 420 backers and we just got the next SG.

Epic encounters II brings the two unlocked dragons into the battlefield. They will both get their epic encounters added to the PDF. All of the digital PDF content will be added to the PDF adding content and making it a great document to complement your new gargantuan dragons, both in lore and in actual gaming content. 

Talking about more content and lore...

At this level we will be able to commission artwork for the lairs of every dragon and have them included in the PDF. This also includes a lore entry about their lairs, how they got there and how they shaped them to their liking. With this the PDF will grow a bit more and is getting to be a very cool freebie on its own!

We will have a more extensive intro into the universe update tomorrow, so stay tuned

Updated shipping table + Baastherox bust unlocked!

Hello dragonlords!

Everyone at Draco Studios is very surprised and excited by your response and enthusiasm towards this project!

You have unlocked the bust for Baastherox which will be available in the stl bust bundle or as a separate physical add-on for $25.

The next stretch goals will be posted later today in the campaign. Stay tuned!

We have simplified the shipping table and included some regions we were missing (rest of Europe and Australia with New Zealand). The table now reads the base shipping fee (for 1 dragon) and the extra shipping fee (per additional dragon in your order/per each 2 busts added):

 So with Split shipping, let's take an example...
   Let's suppose a backer in USA with a pledge from the wave 1 for 3 dragons decided to add Nixis and Baastherox in the pledge manager to get all 5 dragons. That backer would have two options in the survey:

• Make split shipping to get 3 dragons –Aureus, Sivax and Kuxcoatl– on December for $18 ($11 + $3.50 + $3.50) and 2 dragons –Nixis and Baastherox– on June for additional $14.50 ($11 + $3.50). Total shipping of $32.50 but getting the first 3 early. 
• Or you can opt to wait for the shipping wave 2 and have all dragons delivered on June for $25 total shipping ($11 + $3.50 + $3.50 + $3.50 + $3.50)

If, for example, that backer would like to add 3-4 busts, shipping would increase $7 ($3.50 + $3.50) for wave 2.

Dragonlords, 

When we first launched the campaign we were prepared for three possible outcomes, the realistic, the pessimistic and the optimistic. 

We are super excited and humbled to see that we are on track for the optimistic scenario, you are crushing the stretch goals and your validation on our mission to make the best possible dragon sculpts out there is a fire that will ignite the whole Dragonbond saga.

Dragons of the Red Moon is part of the expanded universe for Dragonbond, a setting we have been developing for the last year. Along this campaign we are going to reveal further details with you. We are committed to make this universe the best Draconic experience.

Epic is for...

Epic encounters is something that we have been working on, at first glance you see the amazing dragons that are populating our universe, but as we release more information on the universe you will see that not only are the dragons unique and deep with lore and history, but the universe is quite big as well and we are developing every little crevasse with knowledge, secrets and adventures. 

Think of epic encounters as a full-session boss fight, I do not want to spoil the individual mechanics of the dragons, but in this epic fight, you will need to choose how and where you want to attack the dragon, the strategy will be a lot deeper than a normal encounter, you will need to pay attention to how the dragon is reacting and what that means. The fight takes place in different stages depending on where the dragon is in HP or how you have attacked him meaning that you could also have the fight in different locations as the dragon could move to gain more advantageous terrain or just to make the encounter even better by extending it between shorter easy encounters. There are a lot of ways to run this encounter and as a storyteller you will love this new encounter type. 

The Mightiest

The headshot will have to wait a bit more, I am sure Tom is still working hard at it to make it as perfect as we all imagine it. But we have a small text that shows who Baastherox is...

Baastherox The Mightiest is as ancient as the name of Drakha. His furnace of a heart has been fueled by battle ever since he hatched. Through endless victories and a vast number of combats and wars he grew to be widely feared and respected. According to the legends, Baastherox bears the marring of a great battle upon his body, which was viciously scarred. The Wyrm that opposed The Mightiest in this clash remains unknown to everyone except Baastherox, and he speaks not of the tumults that rose during that encounter.  

Many have attempted to challenge him, but none has been a worthy opponent, except for Ravi, the great giantess who oft times venture into his domain to taunt him. Yet, Baastherox always looks for solitude, his old and bitter self wishing to be left alone. His lair is the skull of a colossal titan, whose life he took as a trophy and proof of his strength. His skeletal habitation is also a blazon of the ancient days of the Red Moon, when races vanquished by the desolation of Kadmos’ kin still ruled its territories. 

Baastherox The Mightiest sleeps untroubled in his lair. Are any travelers or dragons brave enough to interrupt his slumber? It is you who decide which path to take.

NEW DRAGON UNLOCKED!

What an epic first day, dragonlords. You managed to unlock 3 stretch goals more!

At $10k you unlocked head variants for the dragons. You will get both heads to decide whether you like one or the other best, or both if you use magnets.

And we are super excited to announce that a new Great Wyrm will be joining to this campaign: Nixis, the Dracolich! 

Here's the head design that Tom Babbey has been working on. We will talk more in depth about the references and backstory of each Great Wyrms in future updates. 

So now that Nixis is unlocked we will start working on the body design and then with the 3d sculpt. We will share the progress with you!

Make sure to change into any other 'Shipping wave 2' pledge level as Nixis will be available for wave 2. The 'x4 dragons' reward tier will go live at 10am Pacific daylight time (in about 4 hours from now) in case you are all-in for these great wyrms.

You have also unlocked the third stretch goal which enables the bust add-on for her (physical) and comes for free on the .STL bundle for the busts:

Shipping waves

Based in our past experience (both, as backers and creators) we have carefully planned how to schedule manufacture and deliveries so that we can meet our deadlines. 

Reward tiers for dragon miniatures are limited per batches; once the first wave is completed, we will open new pledge levels for the next batch (second wave of shipping) and so on.

Each batch holds 150 dragon miniatures. The first delivery date is December 2019 and every subsequent batch has a 6-month separation.

Reward tiers for the same shipping wave (x1, x2, x3 and x4 dragons) might fluctuate in the amount of copies left until the sum of them approximates to 150. When that happens, that shipping batch will be closed and we will open new reward tiers for a new shipping wave.

We calculated this in our worst case scenario so we might run into happy surprises and be able to ship earlier if everything runs smoothly and/or if we are able to expand our workshop.

So basically, the sooner you pledge, the sooner you will get your dragons.

New reward: Dragon busts & Art print freebie!

Bold Dragonlords,

Today you backed this project, funded it, reached the first and the second stretch goal and still today, you are soaring higher to unlock even more content! 

Here's what you have unlocked so far: Dragon busts!

These busts are available as add-ons for $25 USD each. Cast in resin with 75mm height 

A new pledge level has been included as well which might be appealing for people who love dragons but are not into 3D printing and cannot get a whole dragon either. 

To include the bundle of digital files (.stl) for the dragon busts, add $15 USD to your pledge. You will be able to allocate them in the pledge manager. This bundle will include the busts for every unlocked dragon.

With the second stretch goal you have also unlocked the first Freebie!

This SG applies to everyone who has pledged for at least one dragon! Your dragon will come bundled with an art print (a5 format) with the original artwork from Tom Babbey! You can frame it or just keep it as reference for painting your dragon!

The print comes with each dragon, which means you get a single print of your chosen dragon, if you pledge for more than one dragon they will all come with their individual prints!

Next SG! Alternate Heads!

 The next SG is also a freebie, it is an alternate sculpt of the head; opening its jaws if they are closed in the original sculpt, or closing them if it is the other way! This head will come as an extra in your resin kit (it is also included in the .stl pack) and if you are good with magnets you will be able to have both head options on your awesome dragon!

And just after that stretch goal we will be ready to meet a new dragon...

In the next update we will talk about delivery dates and shipping waves. Basically, the sooner you pledge, the sooner you will get your rewards!
