Hello Dragonbonded,
We hope all of you are healthy and well. From everyone at Draco Studios we truly wish you the very best for this new year; health, prosperity, and happiness. From our part, we will work extra hard to be able to completely fulfill all pending shipping waves.
Covid19 struck us hard on this project. From production delays due to lockdown, shifting hours, and implementing protective measures for our staff's processes; to shipping delays from our international fulfillment hubs.
However, we are back now with some good news to start the year.
For your convenience, here's a quick summary but you can read the details in each section from this update:
-WAVE 2 - 75% fulfilled
Wave 2(NorthAmerica): 100% Fulfilled (contact [email protected] if you need support).
Wave 2 (Australia): All shipped last week (Aetherworks). Some might arrive soon (still in transit).
Wave 2 (Europe& Asia): Parcels in Greece. Shipping starting within the next weeks.
Parcels for US, CA, MX, AU were dispatched already and should have arrived or will arrive soon. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your painted minis! If you need support, feel free to reach out to [email protected] with the subject "DRM replacement" or "DRM missing reward" and we will gladly assist you.
Parcels for Europe & Asia were sent to Greece by AirFreight. Due to Covid19 restrictions and holidays shipping traffic, the activity has been frustratingly slow for us because we want your rewards to ship already. Our fulfillment partner expects their hub to start fulfillment this week because Greece asked them to clean-up the data (if you need to update your shipping address please let us know as soon as possible to [email protected]), so your rewards should arrive within the next few weeks. We know you've been waiting for your dragons and we can assure you they will be in your hands, thanks for your understanding and patience!
Wave 3 - Packaging
Finally, all rewards from this wave has been manufactured! Our team is finishing packing up all of these and freight shipping shall begin soon! We expect North America to receive their rewards during late February and other countries in early April, depending on shipping traffic. You can still update your address in your Backerkit survey (or send us an email if you prefer).
Friendly reminder: Some of you have acquired dragons from the third wave not available in wave 1 or 2, when you replied to your survey, you chose your shipping preference. Consolidated shipping: Receiving all your dragons together to pay less in shipping fees. Split shipping: extra shipping cost but receiving the available dragons in 2 waves. Many backers from wave 1 and wave 2 will receive the rest of their rewards in wave 3.
Rawraxxa was the last miniature to enter into manufacture.

Wave 4 - Production
Production has already started and now that we have all the master models, we expect to move faster with manufacture. Our goal is to have these shipped to you by early May at the latest. We will keep you updated.
We know more than 60% of you are into 3D printing, so for our dear backers from the makers community, we would like to share a project from our LAIR division (the team focused on 3D models for tabletop miniatures). It is about our Eldritch Century setting, a cosmic horror pre-apocalyptic alternate-history Earth. This time for 3D printable models of monsters and playable character paths from our RPG books (PDF copies also available in the campaign). Wave 2 Fulfillment starting this week

We are happy to get back to you with more news.
With the fulfillment of all digital rewards earlier this year and wave 1 backers, 66% of the backers have been fulfilled. Once wave 2 is fulfilled, 75% of the backers will have been fulfilled.
We can tell, you've been really excited and expecting to receive your dragons, so we gathered dates to provide an accurate ETA for the 2nd wave.
Wave 2 - Fulfillment status
First of all, we need to provide a huge apology for the last delay. There were not enough dice sets with our fulfillment partner to complete all wave2 orders, that issue added an extra week while we ordered some dice to be sent to Gamerati. The dice are now there and fulfillment can proceed.
Our fulfillment partner has all the dragons and dice already at their warehouse.
Thursday 19th - Pick & Packing will take place.
Friday 20th - Dragons to backers in USA will be sent. You will most likely get a tracking number from Gamerati in your email.
Thursday 26th - orders to Canada will arrive ready for fulfillment (already pick & packed).
December 3rd - orders to Europe and Rest of the World will arrive ready for fulfillment (already pick & packed).
Just a little while longer. We are extremely thankful for your patience, it seems you will get your rewards before the end of the year!
Wave 3 - Production status
Our team Draco Forge has been working hard and they keep moving forward to bring us more amazing dragons. Wave 3 is about to finish.
All Aureus, Kuxcoatl,Sivax, Nixis, Baastherox,and Dehrilya dragons for wave 3 have been finished.
This week, the master prints for Rawraxxa's heads are being printed. Draco Forge will start production of wings, and wait for the masterpieces of the head so they can complete the sets.
Busts and bases for Dehrilya and Rawraxxa are the only extras missing. We expect to receive the Master prints for these before the end of November.

Last days of Great Wyrms of Drakha
As you know, for mass demand we decided to produce some of our dragons in plastic version. The Kickstarter campaign is live with less than 48hrs left.
You were the very first to believe in us and to make Dragonbond a reality. For that we are eternally grateful. Covid stroke us on our production plan but we are back on track, almost done with wave 3, and ready to tackle wave 4 and 5 to deliver all resin dragons during the first half of 2021.
These plastic dragons will be available in the second half of 2021, and even if you don't back the project, all our backers from Dragons of the Red Moon will receive the PDF version of the book: Great Wyrms of Drakha, which includes more art, chapters and info of the red moon, plus an expansion on the RPG encounters against the dragons (now they are complete high-level adventures).
Of course, if you decide to support the project, the content of the book will be expanded with the unlocked stretch goals, but in addition, and to show our gratitude, if you pledge for a copy of the book or a plastic miniature, we will give you an extra plastic miniature of your choice, for free. You were the first to make this dragons a reality, so you deserve our very best.
And in case you are into 3D printing, not only you can now get the massive battlemaps and lairs for the dragons, but you will also get a free STL pack.

Hello Dragonbonded!
We are very excited for today's events. We have put our hearts and souls to these dragon models in every aspect, but it istruly thanks to you all, our 2385 backers that these dragons came to life.
Currently, rewards from wave 2 have been confirmed to have arrived to our fulfillment center last week!. Gamerati is sorting out preparatives (pick & packing) to start distributing rewards from wave 2 next week! Tracking numbers will be distributed by then.
Production for wave 3 is at 80% (mostly just missing Rawraxxa miniatures). We expect this wave to be fully finished and packed in November, with freight happening in December and fulfilled early in January.
By the time of this update, 70% of the orders have been already fulfilled, and our team at Draco Forge (Resin Cast workshop) is working very hard every week to finish all pending waves (and make up for time lost earlier this year due to Covid19). We never dreamed of receiving so positive response that 5 waves of resin dragons would be needed. Thank you!
As discussed 13 months ago in Update #45, we have been thinking how to speed up manufacture and be able to meet the high demand in mass market for these dragons. We have decided to start parallel plastic manufacture with our chosen partner Panda GM in China. Our plan does not compete with production and fulfillment for this project (we have a dedicated team in Mexico and have expanded our workshop two times to produce faster), we have very clear that our success is thanks to you. And because of that, you will be getting extra benefits or the possibility to get your pledge transferred to the plastic version of the miniatures at the proper cost, this can be done individually andonly for backers who prefer it that way.
In addition, all backers from this campaign will get a free upgrade to your Epic Encounters PDF (already fulfilled earlier this year via DriveThruRPG) since the new campaign focuses on the 5e RPG book with high-level adventures and battles against the Dragons of the Red Moon, with more lore and illustrations about Drakha, the red moon. Here's a free sample of the experience we are aiming to create with these high-level adventures:
You will receive the full PDF of Great Wyrms of Drakha whether you support the new campaign or not (although the more stretch goals we reach, the better the book will be).

While plastic production is faster, tooling for molds is also a lot more expensive than molds for resin cast. We are back with more news about the shipping and production for status.

As you might recall, during the last update we mentioned that we are now working with a new freight forwarder; during wave 1 our cargo was retained in customs for unknown reasons (to us) and our previous freight partner didn't let us know about it (or the reasons) for several weeks.
That's why we decided to work with a new freight partner. They have been great at communication, but it was sooooo muuuuuch paperwork to fill plus, they advised to include some stickers with additional legal information on each separate reward to minimize chance of being held at customs.
At last, the cargo left yesterday and it is scheduled to arrive to our fulfillment partner in one week. So we expect your rewards to arrive in 2-3 weeks! (Depending on your region) Thanks so much for your patience!

Great Wyrms of Drakha
Some of you joined LAIR in the 3D printable release for Dragonbond: Battles of Valerna meeting Ferellon Fulgen and Nagasha Magnifex, offspring to some of the Great Wyrms, along with their bonded and the Allaria & Tyveria realm.
The next Dragonbond adventure will take us back to the Red Moon, Drakha.
Great Wyrms of Drakha is a 180-page book where we expand the content from the Epic Encounters (a PDF stretch goal we reached and fulfilled in this campaign). In addition to the epic battles with the Great Wyrms you will find high-level adventures leading to them and learn more about Drakha and its inhabitants along the way. More art, more lore. Of course, once we finish that, ALL BACKERS FROM THIS CAMPAIGN WILL GET THE PDF REGARDLESS OF BACKING OR NOT THE NEWPROJECT. You made Dragons of the Red Moon a reality and we won't forget that. Of course, we will have special perks for returning backers as well.
As mentioned one year ago, in project update #45, in order to meet mass demand for our Dragons of the Red Moon and as an alternative to speed up manufacture (for the 5th wave), we have been exploring plastic manufacture. In the new campaign we will most likely have some of the dragons available in plastic manufactured in China (not all because tooling for plastic is expensive). Be assured that this will not affect our production for your rewards which are produced in Mexico in our resin cast workshop. It might be a good time to get some of the dragon models you couldn't get the first time at a reduced price and even more for our returning backers. More info about this in the future.

We are still making progress for the last digital stretch goals and the next production waves.
In the button at the top of this update you can find a first version of the world primer for Dragonbond. We plan to keep you updated about newer versions of this document but for now, you can already find more information about what part take the Dragons of the Red Moon (great wyrms; Azhurmas) in the Dragonbond universe! Production status
This year has been very challenging due to the pandemic. But it seems our workflow has normalized now and we are getting production speed to catch up with wave 3, 4 and 5. Wave 2 is packed and ready for collection by our freight forwarder to our fulfillment hub afterwards.
Wave2
Cargo is ready for collection. This time we are using a different freight forwarder so we have more transparent communication about the freight shipping status. During wave 1, the shipment was retained at customs and our freight forwarder provided mixed information to us. We are preparing some final documentation for them and awaiting the last quote to start shipping this. Backers in wave 2 reward tier and Art prints reward tier, should expect they rewards in September. We will keep you updated about any news and you will get a 48-hr final notice to update your shipping address once the cargo is collected.
