 We did it! 

Re-download your STL bundles again to get access to all the new uploaded files! All 7 dragons are included in the STL bundles and we can't wait to see your prints for the stretch goal models!

We are creating a beautiful dragon-focused world where you can immerse yourself but we want to improve ourselves so we can keep doing better at each next release. Your feedback is very important for us. Please take a minute to share with us your perception of the campaign and the STL files.

•  Let us know ifthere are any pending issues in the files so we can track them and work in corrections.

And more exciting news: the final version of the Epic Encounters and Stats will be uploaded next week! We just finished the last proofreading editing notes and the team is working in the corrected version.

Here's a sneak peek of what's currently in progress for our next project for Q3 2020: a full 3D printable wargame based in Dragonbond, where you will be able to use your Dragons of the Red Moon. Plastic release might happen in 2021. Enjoy!

 Physical rewards status 

•  Wave 1 backers should have received their rewards already except backers who selected a model not available for wave 1. Contact [email protected] if you haven't. We have received news that in some EU countries your package showed up with a customs bill. This is something our fulfillment partner told us that could happen since they had to use a different courier and partner hubs when Covid-19 started. If this is your case, contact us by email ([email protected])  and we will take care and cover custom charges.
•  Art prints-only reward tiers are on-hold since our printing manufacturer is not operating due to Covid-19. We will let you know when these are resumed. You will get the digital PDF pack next week.
•  Wave 2 miniatures production has resumed at a slow pace this past weekend. We expect to get production speed this coming weekend. Nixis master print is in progress.

 Final hours for Legendary Dragons 3D

We know a lot of you are already supporting the project and we are extremely thankful for that. Unlocked stretch goals are being sculpted so fulfillment deadline for all models is achieved. Less than 20hrs left to get more than 20+ amazing dragons for your $25 pledge. These are based in the concepts from the book Legendary Dragons by Jetpack7 and the RPG book is highly recommended. 

In addition, due to extreme support, a new addon has been announced: Dragon Hunting Pack. Which includes 1 large modular airship model with playable interiors (sculpted by the team behind Skies of Sordane), dragon hunter captain and crew models, and a RPG supplement to introduce Dragon Hunting adventures to your homebrew campaigns (developed by Jetpack7; an expansion on the Dragon Hunting chapter found in the book). This addon will be available in the pledge manager for Legendary Dragons 3D and Kickstarter backers will get the best deal for it!

Hello dragonbonded!

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Knowing that many of you are at home and that some days might be hard to stay positive, we have been working fast to finish the STL and digital rewards in order to help with the difficulties that might represent not being able to go outside. Please look out for your own health and your loved ones and follow all preventive instructions of your local authorities.  This are trying times but we are in this together. We hope that you find some amusement and entertainment with this update and maybe prepare your 3D printer to have some fun with the new files uploaded!   

Everyone: Re-download your STL Bundle 1 in DriveThruRPG

That's correct! All files from STL bundle 1 have been finished and uploaded!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: ALL BACKERS IN THE STL FILES REWARD TIER AND IN ANY TIER WITH RESIN DRAGON MINIATURES SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM DRIVETHRURPG 8 MONTHS AGO WITH THE CODE TO DOWNLOAD STL BUNDLE 1, INCLUDING ALL 7 DRAGONS!

• If you had received the email and redeemed your code, just log in DriveThruRPG and go to "My Library" to download bundle 1 again. 
• If you cannot find the email, please contact [email protected] with the subject "Missing Link" and Itzel will offer support. 

STL Bundle 1 is complete! You should see:

That's right, STL Bundle 2 was also updated! We are just missing a couple of busts for some of the dragons and it will be completed too! Right now you should see:

•  Breath Weapons folder for all dragons.
•  Battle Scars for each of the 7 dragons.
•  Busts for Aureus, Kuxcoatl and Sivax.

Next week we will finish and upload the busts for Nixis, Baastherox, Rawraxxa and Dehrilya!

Dehrilya bust painting contest!

Dehrilya's bust was the first to be finished and we will update your files in DriveThruRPG next week with all the other busts but in case you can't wait (or want to join a fun activity and contest we are doing for Legendary Dragons 3D) you can find Dehrilya's bust in Thingiverse.

If you post a picture of your 3D print and tag us in social media, you can contribute to unlock another model. In addition, if you post a painted version of it, you can win another Dice-set of Dragons of the Red Moon!  

 Speaking of 3D printing dragons, the campaign has been doing great unlocking many new dragon models! Off to a wonderful debut for LAIR, which we are sure will host a very nice community of tabletop makers! 

The team of sculptors has expanded and stretch goals are being sculpted already for a fast fulfillment in May. Take a look at this unique dragon which was recently finished.

And a fun fact we want to share with you: the most recent unlocked stretch goal is Tyrnin, a unique two-headed dragon illustrated by Tom Babbey (before Dragons of the Red Moon was launched). And Axolote Gaming (sculptor for all the Dragons of the Red Moon dragons and extras) will be sculpting Tyrnin after finishing with the busts. We hope you can join us in the campaign for Legendary Dragons 3D.

Status for other rewards

• Wave 1 dragons have been fulfilled. Contact [email protected] for support
• Wave 2 dragons will resume production starting this Saturday for a trial of our methodology with increased enforcement of sanitary procedures for our staff safety.
• Epic Encounters v2 writing is finished and layout stage is at 50%. We expect to upload the new version next week along with the busts.
• Missing Art Prints are in pause due to our local printers being closed. We will keep you updated about this.
• GM Screen, Drakha Map and World Primer are next in queue of finishing development and fulfillment.

Red Moon Dragons landing! New Legendary Dragons coming!

Hello Dragonbonded,

We hope all of you are safe and healthy. We know these are difficult times in many aspects and we empathize with you. On the bright side, today we have a lot of news to share so let's get started.

Wave 1 fulfillment

Wave-1 dragons are arriving! Last week backers in the US should have received tracking number from Gamerati and some of you already confirmed us about getting your rewards! 

Backers outside US should start getting their tracking numbers this week and receiving their rewards within the next week.

If there's anything wrong with your order, please write to [email protected] and we will be happy to help! 

Note that if you selected "consolidated shipping" and selected Nixis, Baastherox, Rawraxxa or Dehrilya to your order, then you should expect your rewards in a future fulfillment wave.

Wave 2 manufacture

Two weeks ago, we started an internal quarantine for our staff protection and good health. This decision was taken before our local authorities provided isolation orders because we are aware of the risks and consequences; everyone should do their part to stop the virus propagation. Everyone in Draco Studios have been working remotely from home for the development side of the projects; the manufacturing side for the miniatures stopped completely since it is not possible to produce at home due to machinery being at the workshop.

Things aren't slowing down in our Country with the Covid19 situation. So we have been discussing and reviewing our options. Everyone in Draco Forge (resin cast workshop) is very committed to complete this project because delaying one wave means delaying all the rest, but we don't want to put our staff at risk. Production will continue with a lot of precautions in order:

Instead of working 5 days per week, the resin cast team will work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we are providing accommodations so they can sleep, shower and eat in the workshop in a healthy and confortable way. Of course, not within reach of the materials odor.

They won't be taking public transport, instead, they will travel together in a single pickup route for each of their houses without stops to commercial locals. Temperature will be monitored before starting route for pickup. We won't take risks if anyone shows any other symptoms.

The process already required the use of gloves and face masks and we made sure there are plenty. Social distancing signs and reminders about not touching face will be included.

The team has enough materials for wave 2 production already. Since they have families at home, following these and all indications will be strictly enforced to guarantee the good health of the entire resin cast team. We are not taking this lightly and it seems as a good solution to keep making progress.

While we are not sure yet of the production speed with this workflow, we are expecting a short delay on wave 2 already. We will keep you informed once we are back on track for production. 

Baastherox Master

Before the internal quarantine started, we received the master print for Baastherox in the workshop. This is such an intimidating dragon that we know will be a favorite for many gamers!

STL Files Fulfillment almost complete!

Yesterday more content to your DriveThruRPG files was uploaded. We are almost finished and this truly excite us!

Head to your Library in DriveThruRPG and log-in to find Dehrilya split version along with the scenic base for Nixis and Dehrilya. Rawraxxa static pose was uploaded to the "Full_Dragons" folder. We are just missing Rawraxxa split version (new pose) along with her base and we will have finished every STL file in bundle 1! 

STL bundle 2 also got an update with Breath Weapons and battle scar parts for Nixis and Dehrilya. We will finish Rawraxxa's after the split full body version and complete some busts.

We are very close to fulfill all STL files of this campaign! Please share pictures of your prints and paintjobs with us!

Status for the rest of the rewards

•  Art Prints: As mentioned in past months, even though we had all stats, artwork, lair artwork and biographies, we were missing some lair maps (back side of the Lair art print). For that reason, art prints for Dehrilya, Nixis and Rawraxxa were not printed yet and the whole art print pack has not been sent yet. We finally have all lair maps and we are looking to enter into printing next week if our print manufacturer is open (due to Covid19). But don't worry, this will be completed within the next few months and sent to all of you who pledged in the Art Print reward tier or included these as an add-on. Side note: Kuxcoatl, Aureus and Sivax print were printed and the dragon boxes include these already.
•  Dice: Backers with Dice-only pledge and no add-ons or Backers in wave-1 tier who included dice should have received their dice already. Many dice-only backers had an early fulfillment 8 months ago. 
•  PDF Pack: Our Game design team has grown so we are having them provide the final review of the Epic Encounters and stats this weekend to prepare the next version of the PDF Pack. First version of the World Primer for Dragonbond is almost ready and Beta Access to backers in the ALL-IN tier will begin soon. The GM Screen file and Red Moon map are still under development.

New campaign: Legendary Dragons 3D printable files

In collaboration with Jetpack7, we have created more beautiful dragons for 3D print based on the amazing dragon designs found in the 5th edition RPG supplement "Legendary Dragons". You can see the campaign here. 

6 unique models are already included in the STL bundle and more to come in the next 23 days!

Loyalty rewards for Dragons of the Red Moon backers!

As you know, we usually offer loyalty rewards. Your support allow us to create more beautiful dragons and keep working on Dragonbond. For this campaign, we are offering some unreleased models from the beta exploration stage of Dragonbond. These models won't be easily obtained since all Dragonbond concept art is changing. You can use this models in your fantasy RPG campaigns or as proxys for the upcoming Dragonbond Wargame. Take a look:

As mentioned before, all concept art for Dragonbond is undergoing a 3rd and final round of revision. While this doesn't mean the models above are not pretty and highly detailed, we also want you to be prepared for the amazing designs we are creating for the future Dragonbond Wargame. The new art team is a dream to work with. More images coming soon.

LAIR: Pledge Manager and 3D printing community

The campaign of Legendary Dragons 3D printable files was launched by a new team from Draco Studios: LAIR.

We want to offer a space dedicated to tabletop 3D printing. Even if you do not own a 3D printer, you will be able to find someone who does and can offer you 3D printing services near your area. This will be expanded to painting services and even sculptors for creators to work with. And of course, a nice place to access your 3D files with a very user-friendly interface.

LAIR closed beta will begin soon, debuting with Legendary Dragons 3D and going to open beta shortly after. Your input will allow us to improve the platform. Tabletop 3D printing deserves a dedicated space for creators and gamers.

Miniatures Assembly Guide + Locking Addresses (wave 1)

Wave 1 Fulfillment status

Finally, the boxes have arrived to our fulfillment partner hub in the US. They will begin pick & packing on Monday. This means, you have 24 hours left to update your SHIPPING address in your survey. You can review your shipping address by clicking here.  If you recently moved, please take 1 minute to verify your current mailing address; otherwise you might have to pay again for shipping once the package is returned.

Wave 2 Manufacture status

Baastherox master print is finished. Our team at Draco Forge will receive it on Monday (expect some pictures on next update).

Assembly guide

Since wave-1 backers will start getting the first resin miniatures, we prepared a detailed guide with tips to help you prepare and build your dragons as best as possible.

We asked our sculptor to provide some advice for building the first three dragons as well as an overview for each one and the build complexity score you should expect (0 = hard / 10 = easy).

• Kuxcoatl 

This is a relatively easy build, most parts have a great fit. You might need to fill some gaps as per usual, but other than that all the parts will fit great. The tail needs to be built with a strong bond and I would greatly recommend pinning it so it has more strength as the dragon rests on this piece. The dragon does stand on the tail and does not need a base, but I would recommend one for stability. 

Recommendations: Pin the tail to the body. Make sure the superglue is dry and the bond is solid before trying to stand it on its own to avoid the tail separating and risking damage to the piece. Overall Build score: 9/10

• Sivax 

This dragon is also quite an easy build. One thing to consider here is doing a dry fitting of the limbs (arms, legs and, wings); since they are all close to each other you need to check that they will join correctly and make any adjustments before gluing them together to avoid one of them not fitting correctly and having to go back to break off some pieces. Use an exact knife and files to get the fit correct. Additionally, I would recommend a base for this dragon as it is not stable on its own, and pinning it to the base to increase stability further. 

Recommendations: Dry fit pieces and adjust them for a better fit. Use a base and pin the dragon to it for more stability. Overall build score: 8/10

• Aureus 

Aureus is a very big dragon. You should clean up and file all the joins to get correct fittings. The wings (especially the left-wing) is going to need a bit of work to get a great fit; if you don't mind filling, just use green stuff to get the final look. Other than that, it is a great dragon, with a very large contact area so no worries on toppling this guy over. 

Recommendations: adjust and modify wings for a better fit. Clean up joins correctly to avoid misalignment. Overall Build score: 7/10

Special Teaser

Last Monday, we shared with you Ferellon Fulgen, offspring of Aureus Fulgen; we promised sharing with you more about the Graphic Novel with the characters' turnarounds and expression guides. The following are still in progress and revisions but the art team is making progress:

The script for the graphic novel is near to be finished and enter into editing. But that's not the only Dragonbond project in the works... 

As soon as shipping for wave-1 backers begins and you receive the next batch of digital stretch goals, we will launch a new Dragonbond project for an expanded physical –and digital– book with expanded high-level RPG adventures (not only the encounters) for your dragons! With more art and draconic sections compatible with 5e. 

Some new STL dragon models will be available in the next campaign, as well as plastic miniatures for the dragons included in this campaign; another chance to expand your dragon collection! But we will talk more about that in a future update, for now, we are still working on this campaign's fulfillment.

Rawraxxa's new pose

Hello dragonbonded!

It is unusual to post 2 updates within such a short time difference but we have excellent news: 

Our team hurried to get Rawraxxa's new pose done before locking surveys. Below you will find the quick thumbnail sketch and the 3D sculpt re-posing in progress. Some aspects of the tail and limbs will need a re-sculpt and other details will be fine-tuned for the new pose; the new Rawraxxa STL file will be uploaded to your Bundle once it is finished. But we wanted to share this with you so you could get an idea of the new dynamic pose.

The resin miniatures will have the new pose and we already have an idea for Rawraxxa's scenic base depicting desert sand elevating from the great wyrm's gale.

Remember you can access your Backerkit survey here to change your dragon selection or add-ons. We are extending the deadline for locking surveys some additional hours for tomorrow night around 22:00 hrs CST.
